Stockholm Travel Guide: Flights & Hotels
Sweden · ARN
Stockholm is spread across 14 islands connected by bridges and ferries, with the medieval Gamla Stan old town as its most photogenic core. It's a design- and tech-forward capital with excellent museums, including the Vasa Museum built around a 17th-century warship.
June-August brings long daylight hours (and the best weather) for a city built around water, though prices peak then too. Stockholm's public transport, including ferries to nearby archipelago islands, makes it easy to combine city sightseeing with a short island trip.
