Valencia Travel Guide: Flights & Hotels

Spain · VLC

Valencia is the birthplace of paella, with a historic center backed by the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences complex and a long stretch of Mediterranean beach, all connected by a former riverbed turned into a 9km city park. It's generally cheaper and less crowded than Barcelona while offering a similar beach-and-city combination.

April-June and September-October offer warm weather without the peak summer heat. Valencia's Turia Gardens park (a former riverbed) makes it one of the most bike- and run-friendly city centers in Spain.
